I hope so too. I've been checking in almost every day to see if there's new stuff. I can remember when the eight part television commercials was missing a part and it took years to get to see it. I wonder if there is an end part to "Look to the Land" (EB film)!!
During this meantime I have been watching YouTube and Google video to help with all the withdrawl symptoms LOL!
The collection called tvdays (tvnetworks/Ira Gallen/VR) is also enormous, although all the films are marked in the bottom corner.
This is a good time for me to say thanks to the Archive for all the incredible stuff from here that I watch just about every day.

OK, an update.

We are making the new movie files for the Internet Archive as part of our project to digitize all of our tape library and go tapeless. An ace digital archivist is building an app that will take the new files we're making and generate derivatives for IA, but he is still working on a few fine points, and as of now we have planned to start encoding in mid-July. Since what we plan to do is much bigger than the 500 films we have promised to IA, we just want to get the workflow right and the app debugged before we begin. Honored downloaders and supporters, I respectfully ask for your patience. We are really looking forward to growing the online collection and seeing what wonders people make with it.

Now, may I ask a question?

Most of you have downloaded films (and some of you have downloaded all the films) from our collection. If I produced DVD compilations with the same films, plus supplements and program notes, would you buy them? Trying to do a little market research here and decide whether to take the dive. I'd appreciate hearing your answers -- you can reach me at rick {at} archive.org.

thank you.

I probably would, especially if you were to organize the films by what company produced them. You know, there could be a Jam Handy compilation DVD, a Sid Davis DVD, Centron, Calvin, Coronet, Jerry Fairbanks, and so forth.
